I started my photography educationin 1994,
right before digital existed, when Photoshop was not much
more than a rumour.
On film was simply how photographs were made, and learning this meant learning to see and creating an image completely by hand from shot to print.

Thirty years later I'm still shooting film. because nothing else produces images quite like it and because I love the process. All these things that I learned over so many years are worth preserving, and worth passing on.

We start from the very beginning. I'll open up my personal camera collection cameras of various formats I've shot with for decades and walk you through each one.
You'll learn to load film, meter and understand light, and frame images the way I do: intuitively, deliberately, without waiting
for a screen to tell you if you got it right.

We shoot on location together. We bridge the analogue and digital worlds so everything you shoot, on any camera, becomes more intentional.
