photography masterclass

 learn the rules

so you’ll know
how to break them

I started my photography education in 1994 — before digital existed, before Photoshop was anything more than a rumour. On film was simply how photographs were made, and learning it meant learning to see. It meant creating an image completely by hand.

Thirty years later I'm still shooting film. because nothing else produces images quite like it and because I love the process. All these things that I learned over so many years are worth preserving, and worth passing on.

This masterclass is for you if you've ever felt that something is missing from your photography. If you shoot digitally and wonder why your images don't move you. If you've always been curious about film but didn't know where to start. If you want to develop an eye — not just a technique.

We start from the very beginning. I'll open up my personal camera collection — cameras of various formats I've shot with for decades — and walk you through each one. You'll learn to load film, read light, and frame images the way I do: intuitively, deliberately, without waiting for a screen to tell you if you got it right.

We shoot on location together. We bridge the analogue and digital worlds so everything you shoot, on any camera, becomes more intentional.

This isn't just a masterclass. It's a walk through thirty years of seeing — and I'll be with you every step of the way.

 all good things
take time…

The masterclass is coming — but you don't have to wait.
I'm currently available for private one-on-one sessions

(analog-) photography journey now.

Those of you, who have followed me since many years might still remember that I used to host analog photography retreats abroad. It was magical and I loved it so very much. Here is a glimpse into the very first “Bohemia Gathering” in 2015 in Vichy, France.
